Department: Health Information Management
Position: Inpatient Coder
Status: Full-Time

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Two or three years experience of inpatient coding utilizing ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 is required. CCS or RHIT is preferred.

Department: Surgical Services
Position: RN Circulator
Status: Full-Time, with rotating call. (Applicant must reside no more than 30 minutes from hospital to fulfill call requirements)

Qualifications: Must possess a valid SC Registered Nurse license, a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.  Must have six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent; two or more years experience in a medical setting with emphasis on patient accounting.  Must be knowledgeable of computers and office machinery.  Must have ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.  Must have the ability to deal effectively with insurance representatives.  Must be a self-starter with good people and communication skills.  Must show initiative to pursue more knowledge and abilities.  Attention to detail is essential.  Must be able to work independently and be highly organized and efficient.

(4) While overall authority for implementing this policy is assigned to the Director of Human Resources, an effective equal employment opportunity program cannot be achieved without the support of supervisory personnel and employees at all levels. Any employees who feel they are the victims of discrimination have a responsibility to report this fact to their supervisor and/or the Human Resources Department.
