Clarendon
Health System’s Board of Trustees is a diverse group of individuals
dedicated to the purpose and mission of Clarendon Health System. They
are committed to making sure your health and wellness needs are met
in Clarendon County. Please take a moment to get to know them.
Donald
L. Ellis, Chairman
Don
Ellis has been a resident of the Clarendon community for more
than 25 years. President of Donald L. Ellis, CPA, PA, Mr. Ellis
served as a distinguished pilot in the United States Air Force
after graduating from Clemson University. Prior to starting his
own firm, Mr. Ellis worked for Georgia-Pacific, Inc., and Peeler
Jersey Farms, Inc. Mr. Ellis has also taught accounting as an
adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina-Sumter.
In
addition to serving as chairman of the Clarendon Health System
Board of Trustees,
Mr.
Ellis is active with the Manning United Methodist Church and
is a member of the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce, the
Manning
Rotary Club and the CPA Practitioners Forum. He and his wife,
Helene, have three children and two grandchildren. In his spare
time, he enjoys playing golf. |

Connie
J. Dennis, Vice Chairman
Connie
Dennis and her husband, Glen, have lived in Turbeville for more
than 20 years.
Mrs.
Dennis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Francis Marion University
and a Master's Degree in educational administration from the
University of South Carolina (USC). She also earned an Educational
Specialist
Degree. Mrs. Dennis is currently assistant superintendent for
Curriculum and Instruction for Clarendon School District Two.
In
addition to serving as vice chair of the Clarendon Health System
Board of Trustees, Mrs. Dennis is a member of the South Carolina
Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. She is
a Clarendon County First Steps board member, a member of Pine
Grove United Methodist Church and is president of Pine Grove
United Methodist Women. Mrs. Dennis enjoys exercise, reading
and crafts. |

Raymond
Clark, Secretary/Treasurer
A
lifelong resident of Clarendon County, Raymond Clark
is a Service Specialist with Ecolab. Mr. Clark is a graduate of Scott’s Branch High School and attended
Benedict College in Columbia. He and his wife, the former Nancy
Bolton, are residents of Manning’s lake community. The
Clarks have three grown children.
Mr.
Clark is a member of Mt. Zero Baptist Church, where he serves
faithfully as a member of the Trustees Board. Mr. Clark enjoys
traveling, spending time with his family and being involved in
various church activities. |

David
C. Gaines, M.D., Chief of Staff
Dr.
David Gaines has been a family medicine physician with Manning
Medicine since 2000. He attended Augusta State University and
Mercer Medical School. Dr. Gaines is Chief of Medical Staff of
Clarendon Health System and a member of the Cypress Foundation
Board of Directors. He also teaches medical students from the
University of South Carolina
and Medical
University
of
South Carolinaon rural rotations.
He
and his wife Dee Dee are Georgia natives and are active in the
community, participating in various events and projects such
as Relay for Life and local health fairs. They and their two
sons are members of Manning United Methodist Church. Dr. Gaines
enjoys gardening, fishing, college football and spending time
with his family and friends. |

Thomas
Campbell
Originally
from Chicago, Thomas Campbell and his wife, Marge, now call Wyboo
Plantation home. The Campbells have two adult sons and one grandson.
Prior to moving to Clarendon County in 1998, the couple lived
in Atlanta, where Mr. Campbell was a regional vice president
with the International Division of Lanier Worldwide. Prior to
that, he worked for 3M in St. Paul, Minn., for more than 20 years.
Both he and Marge are graduates of DePaul University in Chicago.
Now
retired, Mr. Campbell serves on the building committee of Our
Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He is a charter member of The Zone,
Clarendon Health System’s health and fitness center. He
enjoys fishing, gardening, antiques and travel. |

Raymond
H. Dominici, M.D.
Dr.
Raymond Dominici and his wife, Judy, have lived in Williamsburg
County for more than 10 years. They have four children and five
grandchildren. Dr. Dominici is a surgeon, performing general,
vascular and laparoscopic surgery at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.
Board certified in general surgery, he attended medical school
at Hahnemann University and completed his internship and residency
at Maine Medical Center.
He
is a brigadier general in the South Carolina State Guard and
a member of the special operations committee of the South Carolina
State Guard. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, farming and
flying. |

Elaine
Elmore
Elaine
Elmore has lived in the Goat Island
area of Summerton for 23 years. She has been in banking for 13
years, beginning as a teller with NBSC in Summerton to her current
position as a bank officer with First Citizens Bank and Trust
Company. She has three adult children and three grandchildren.
Mrs.
Elmore is a member of the Summerton Presbyterian Church. Her
hobbies include traveling, singing, and playing with her grandchild.

Herb
Hilliard
Herb
Hilliard has lived in the Clarendon community for more than 30
years. Now semi-retired, Mr. Hilliard owned H & H Supply,
a refrigeration and plumbing supplies business. In addition to
serving on the Clarendon Health System Board of Trustees, Mr.
Hilliard is chairman of the Antioch Baptist Church Board of Trustees
and a member of the Clarendon Democratic Caucus.
Mr.
Hilliard and his wife, Thelma, have two adult children. He enjoys
fishing and is a fan of professional and college basketball. |

Dorothy
Wilder
A
lifelong resident of Clarendon County, Dorothy Wilder is a retired
high school teacher, having taught for 31 years at Sumter High
School in Sumter. She continues to teach in retirement under
the TERI program as a career and technology educator at Sumter
High.
Ms.
Wilder is a graduate of Voorhees College in Denmark, S.C. She
earned a Master’s in Education from South Carolina State
University.
In
addition to being on the Clarendon Health System Board of Trustees,
Ms. Wilder is also a member of the National Business Education
Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development,
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and Queen of the South Order of
the Eastern Star, and is a board member and secretary of the
Panola Community Recreation Department. Ms. Wilder is also active
in her church, St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, where she
is a youth director, secretary, member of the YW Auxiliary and
the Missionary Society. She enjoys traveling, reading and walking. |
